Business Spotlight: The Atrium

The Atrium
Historically “the atrium” was a room in a Greco-Roman house where people gathered in an atmosphere of genuine community.  Friendships flourished and people were encouraged to use their gifts to improve their community.  Brian and Lindsey Hoyer moved to the Stanwood community from out of state three years ago feeling that this would be the place that they would start their dream of creating a version of The Atrium relevant to today. The goal of The Atrium is to offer people-connecting activities that are conducive to developing genuine friendships with our neighbors, inspiring extraordinary health, and restoring our world. By day The Atrium will be a place to kick off your shoes, relax, read, drink, and stock up on fabulous organic loose leaf Tea By Tobi (sold in bulk by Tobi Cain).  If you are a parent you can sip tea and watch your little one play in an enclosed play area.  All ages can enjoy planned fun activities like laughter clubs, family dance parties, drum circles, service projects, community walks, and more!  By night The Atrium will be a place to let loose, dance, and have fun in a positive environment.  To start, The Atrium will launch 3 weekly dances with group lessons: a Student Night on Fridays, Swing Saturdays, and a mix of swing, latin, ballroom, and country on Sunday evenings.  Private lessons in all social dances can be scheduled throughout the week.  Sign ups for classes, private lessons, and prices are all listed online. The first day of business will be an OPEN HOUSE on Saturday July 30th!  Fun events are scheduled the entire day, so be sure to check the Crab Cracker on 7/30/11! The Atrium is here to collaborate with local businesses & organizations to help make the Stanwood & Camano community stronger, happier, friendlier, healthier, greener & more lively!  Come be a part of this & enhance it with your own unique self!
