Paul Johnson is hired at University of Great Falls

The University of Great Falls in Montana has hired Paul Johnson as the new Director of Track and Field. Those of us in Stanwood & Camano Island know Paul as the head track and field coach at Stanwood High School (from 1977 to 2009) and as the head cross-country coach. Johnson retired a year ago after 36 years of education. “Our family and sons enjoyed your track camps each summer. I’m sure all the other boys and girls and parents and friends appreciated your service to our communities through track camps and the high school track program. Your dedication and experience to teaching them all about the sport, teamwork, fundamentals, and positive attitude is a value to them all and is now a value to Great Falls, Montana. They are lucky to have you there and we are more lucky to have known you and to have been taught by you.” – The Shipleys
