Business of the Week: Glass Tech

Glass Tech Stanwood, Inc. has been serving Stanwood and Camano since March 1997. They are coming upon their 15th Anniversary this year! Owners Aaron and Sue James moved to Stanwood in 1995 from North Seattle. Sue was working for SeaFirst Bank-Columbia Center Building at that time. Aaron was a Naval Fire Fighter and after several unsuccessful knee surgeries was discharged as a Disabled Veteran. He came accross a “Retail Glass Business for Sale” and thought he might be interested in a career change. Purchased the name “Glass Tech” and at the same time the little ol’ building on the corner of 271st and 102nd was available for lease so thus started the new job change for Aaron! Shortly after that Sue was laid off her job from Seafirst Bank and was given a generous severance package and the two have been in their little old building since that time. The building was at one time a Signal Gas Station owned by Manser Wangsness. (If the walls could talk!!) Aaron and Sue enjoy living on Camano Island with their 2 dogs Boomer and Zina. They recently became grand parents to Ryder Michael Estabrook. Aaron and Sue have been very fortunate to have such wonderful loyal clients over their past 15 years. The Stanwood-Camano Community really keeps their business in town and they are so greatful for that!! Find their website at www.glasstech stanwood.com. Open Mon-Fri: 9am-5pm. First and third Saturday: 9am-1pm. 10121-271st Street NW, Stanwood 360-629-5119. Pictured left to right: Sue, Aaron, Bryan and Zina and Boomer
